Rebus Capital Partners announces launch

Posted by: Danielle Moore at July 03, 2020

The launch of new financial services company, Rebus Capital Partners, was announced today. Providing capital solutions and advisory services across corporate and specialist industries, owners Krissy Huxley and Tom Chirnside say the company has been formed to fill a gap in the capital funding space.

“Business is evolving at a rapid pace, especially at the moment,” Ms Huxley said.

“Increased regulation, digital transformation and pandemic lockdowns are just some of the disruptive forces placing pressure on conventional lending practices in Australia.

“In these volatile market conditions, we are seeing increased need for businesses to look beyond traditional channels to access capital and fund growth.

“It’s not a one-size-fits-all approach anymore, with the market looking for new and innovative capital solutions.

“That’s why we established Rebus Capital Partners, so we can take a different approach and be more creative in how our clients access capital.”

The service suite offered by the company includes advisory, asset and infrastructure funding, core debt and working capital, acquisition funding, debt restructuring and financial modelling.

Based at Melbourne and Geelong in Victoria, Rebus Capital Partners looks after clients nationally across key industry sectors including agribusiness and food tech, construction, infrastructure, healthcare and pharmaceutical, technology and sustainability.

Mr Chirnside is keen to demonstrate that alternate approaches to sourcing capital can be successful in sustaining and protecting Australian businesses.

“We partner closely with our clients, really working hard to share our expertise and knowledge so that the right solution is found in support of long-term business health,” he said.

“Krissy and I have worked for many years in these specialist sectors, and they each have their own characteristics and challenges.

“Having a deep understanding and willingness to think around the edges of a problem helps create better capital combinations for our clients.”

The pair are tenacious when building capital solutions for business.

“We build strong close relationships at all levels of the process, working with business owners and founders to partner them with the right investors. It is the only way we know how to operate,” said Mr Chirnside.

“If we can create sound financial building blocks for a robust and stable business, everyone benefits.”
